Lying within the historic village boundary of Titchfield a few minutes walk away - the surrounding area has a lot to offer our visitors. There are several pubs and restaurants very close by including:
Once an important port on the south coast, the village of Titchfield has a large number of well preserved historic buildings set around the ancient church of St Peters. Footpaths lead from the Barn through the village and follow the river Meon two miles to the coast. Here there is a nature reserve and year-round visitor centre with café, a picturesque boat haven, a shingle beach - popular with sea anglers, and headland with several miles of bridle and footpaths.
This stretch of coast also offers tremendous views of the Isle of Wight just across the Solent - which in turn is renowned for sailing, wind surfing, kite surfing and of course, commercial shipping.
